Giant Wood Spider : This shot was taken at my uncles beatle nut plantation...i had spotted this spider which had only 6 legs....what happened to the other two...intially i thought that the two claw like things near it's mouth were it's other missing legs...only when i copared to my other shot of the giant spider which i had uploaded earlier at ....

i realised that it was actually missing two legs...so much for my ignorance on nature...:-)

Nice clear shot Krsnagopal.
Of course,all spiders have eight legs,but there is something called a harvestman that looks exactly like a spider but has six.
They prey on our glow worms here in New Zealand.
