Hello Dave,
I didn't have the chance to see this bird so often; in fact, only once in Mont-Tremblant’s National Park (Québec) and I worked very hard to get a decent picture of this wild and shy bird.

This is a very good capture with excellent details on its plumage and great colors. I like this light in its eye and POV a lot.

I learned something on TN, when you photograph bird, even if you don't have the whole tail apparent in a picture, just let some space for us to “imaginate “ it and it’ll help in composition :-) Thanks,

Hello Dave. This is a wonderful portrait of the Northern Flicker. I like the POV showing nice sharp details in his plumage together with vivid colours. Great angle of the head showing the eye and perfect beak. All round lovely composition.
