[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Mono County runs along the eastern edge of the Sierra Nevada Range. It is a semi-arid land with dramatic vistas. In addition to the vistas are the amazing colors of fall, winter and spring and incredible clear light on sunny days. Here I was attracted to the color of the awakening willows in this flat light on an early spring morning. The spring willows throughout this county are the most amazing tones of rusts, and golds, and maroons, and pinks.

The composition is quite nice, but I wonder if a closer shot of some of those willows would have conveyed the sense of awakening more clearly?

I love your title for this one.Dated March 3,it seems appropriate for us here on April 13.I see a lot of little bushes and trees with various coloured branches,making a very colourful wooded area.Nicely composed with your usual razor sharp focus.TFS
