Hi Christian,

an excellent shot, composition , nice sharp details and lovely natural light all combine to make this an excellent photo. Wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of those horns...

Hi Christian,
This animal posed nicely for you. It looks lovely in amongst the vegetation. The quality of the image is great which gives one an opportunity to examine the animal closely. I am not certain what it is though. Would be nice to say.

Christian comme moi ;-) Votre cliché est superbe ! L'Oryx est beau avec ses cornes impressionnantes. Vous maitrisez bien votre gros zoom, la netteté et la PdC sont super comme l'exposition et les couleurs.
Moi aussi il m'arrive de remercier les animaux sauvages qui ont la patience de se laisser photographier ;-)

you have captures a magnificent animal.
It standout well from the BG with help both of the shallow DOF and of the contrast. Nice lighting and colours.
The details are very fine.

There's a lot to say about your image IMO. The sharpness, the light, the atmosphere and the colours are outstanding.
My nits are the cropping and the skyline. The former is bit tight under and the latter isn't horizontally.

Hi Christian

This is a truely magnificent capture!
The POV here is exceptional and the timing is great, catching him with his turned towards you.
The contrast here between the Oryx and the grass around him is wonderful and it makes him stand out superbly! The focus you managed on him is also impeccable and the level of sharp details reached here is amazing! I just love his big horns and those little rings on them.
The BG is also very baeutiful and it completes this charming composition.

I'm glad he stood still. Being impaled with those pointy horns could ruin a person's day! This is a nice sharp well exposed image. It's a beautifus animal.

Hi Christian

A superb shot of this "gemsbok". One of Africa's most beautiful antelope which I still haven't had the opportunity to photograph and would just love to get in front of my lens. The big Sigma gave you an excellent result. I know what you mean and the frustration one can experience when you work hard at getting close to an animal and just when you ready to take the shot the animal decides it is time to go. This one worked with you and the result is a pleasure to view.
