This is very pretty blossom from a tree called amanagowa. The flower buds start as pale pink but the flowers are almost white when they open. The tree has a very upright stance and therefore, does not shade the garden. I planted it as a small sapling when my son was christened and it is now over ten feet tall. (You will have to guess how old my son is!) Because the weather has been so warm, it is in blossom much earlier than normal. The bees have spent a lot of time visiting this tree today.
