Hello Friends
This is a shot of Chironomus Plumosus from Chironomidae family, Hope you like it.

Scientific classification

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Arthropoda
Class: Insecta
Order: Diptera
Suborder: Nematocera
Infraorder: Culicomorpha
Superfamily: Chironomoidea
Family: Chironomidae

Chironomidae (informally known as chironomids or non-biting midges) are a family of nematoceran flies with a global distribution. They are closely related to the Ceratopogonidae, Simuliidae, and Thaumaleidae. Many species superficially resemble mosquitoes but they lack the wing scales and elongate mouthparts of the Culicidae. This is a large group of insects with over 5000 described species and 700 species in North America alone. Males are easily recognized by their plumose antennae. Adults are known as "lake flies" in parts of Canada and as "blind mosquitoes" in Florida, USA. Larvae can be found in almost any aquatic or semiaquatic habitat, including treeholes, bromeliads, rotting vegetation, soil, and in sewage and artificial containers. Larvae of some species are bright red in color due to hemoglobin; these are often known as "bloodworms".

Ha Fartash,
you are going to make art out of nature. Very nice....:-) Especially the green tones are nice.
I have never heard of or seen this species.
Best wishes,
Jacob

Hi Fartash,
Nice shot on this tiny insect. Love the pov and composition. Color saturation is great. Perfect focus on the insect. Very well done.

Quite an interesting winged insect I have seen for the first time, Fartash. The tail and those hairy antennae are the special features of this tiny insect which you have captured in your usual efficient way.
TFS.

Hi Fartash,

An amazing piece of art showing off this insect I have not heard of. This picture really looks three dimensional. The colors are fantastic - I love the yellow and the different shades of green. Excellent details. Just wonderful!

Hello Fartash,
Fine close capture of a Chironomid Midge that is new to me. I like the compo. in the leaves of a tiny plant and the green BG, making the midge stand out even more, since you have captured it with good sharpness.
TFS and best wishes, Ivan

Hi Fartash, another great shot from you. A great POV and excellent DOF with the insect being very sharp 'popping out' of the shot. Great colours.

Hi Fartash

Terrific sharpness and POV (especially the free blur forming a boquet around the subject).
