The spider, Araneus cf. diadematus Clerk, 1757, is known "Garden Spider". This well-known spider is one of the most common species in Europe and Turkiye. It is also recorded from Nearctic Region.
It is orb-weaver spider. Although colouration is changable from light to dark, dorsal pattern, similar a cross, is characteristic.
It webs in wetland and humid areas as well as gardens. |

Nice clarity (focus) and light too.
I think it would have been great to use the "rule of thirds" here and to also show the bottom bit of the leg, but other then that, it's great.
Keep practising, you have an eye.

Lovely and well deserved dedication you received from your friend Mustafa.
The patterns and markings on this spider is very clear and obvious, It has such a fat body and I was wondering if this spider has 10 legs and not 8 like I have learnt. Is the 2 very short ones also legs? How wonderful is this site to share images, compare them and learn about all the different types of a kind. What a great planet with strange beauties. Your image of the spider is worlds apart from my image of a spider. But they both remain spiders. Thanks for sharing. Much appreciated.
