| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This deer seemed almost artificial, the way he stood for almost 5 minutes. It was long enough for me to hand hold at a 30th.
This was taken in the first days of a hard winter at 4000 feet elevation in the Colville Forest area, yet on a piece of small land once used and now abandoned.
I went back that summer and the peach tree fruited for the first time in 15 years. I knew because it was one of my favorite hiding spots...miles from a true home, miles from electricity. Right at the treeline near an old cabin. |

First of all, your note is poetic. "I went back that summer and the peach tree fruited..." sounds like the opening lines of a really good book.
Wonderful photo.
You captured the gentle quality of this lovely. :)
