Female elk, moose, (Alces alces), is the largest member of the deer family. The average weight is 450kg for a male and 350kg for a female, but they can reach a weight of 850kg. The photo was taken one evening, the light was not the best, and ISO 800 was required.

Hi Anders,
A very wonderful moment captured. You really got some great eye contact with the moose. Excellent work on the details and DOF. I do feel that a slight adjustment in levels and colors could make the moose stand out even more.

Nice shot of this moose Anders, the details came out very well considering the conditions you had and the time of shot. Excellent use of the VR lens,think i will have to invest in one....
