Found this lone goose on a pond at Brandesburton. At first glance it looked like a juvenile Canada goose but the orange bill indicates it's a cross with a Greylag.
Nikon D100-Nikkor 500mm F4p+ TC-16a converter.

There is a great ambiance to this image John. I love the close crop, the reflection and the water rings. It is sad that he is all alone. We have thousands of Canadian geese where I live and they really do love to be in their flock. At least he gets to be admired and appreciated with this lovely photo.

Hi Brat a wonderfull shot excellent post process perfect focus good crop/compositon nice light and the vignetting, didn't think u would get vignetting from a crop sensor ;-) cheers man best rgds Necip

Excellent shot and well done on the comp.
Somebody was confused in their remarks, maybe you should let him know that the vignetting was done in photoshop. ;)

What a great shot and amazing to see this Hybrid, do they have a name for these hybrids?. The shot is very nicely composed with a superb pose and a lovely reflection, nice detail and I love the dark colour tones.
