Orange-Bellied Leafbird – Chloropsis hardwicki
Size : Average 19 cm. Distinct from other leafbirds with its deep orange underparts. The male seen here has a black throat with purplish blue overs whilst the female has a duller overall green plumage and orange coloured belly.

Habitat : Broadleaved evergreen jungle, jungle edge; 600 – 2100m

I really like this composition with the bird coming out of the top corner. A very bold entry into the picture. Pose is interesting too.
Another beautiful bird with gorgeous markings and colours perfectly captured.
