| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The second of my Kingfisher photographs taken at Silverdale. This is a more distant shot of the Kingfisher resting on a rock below the nest site. I left it because it is shown in natural surroundings and I felt it did not need cropping. natural History photography is not about being up close but showing it also in its antural environment.
Camera settings:- ISO 400, AV, Spot metering, 1200mm focal length, 2 x converter, remote shutter cord. |

Well Peter, this is a very fine compositon of the Kingfisher in his natural environment. You have caught it very well indeed, reflections and all. The bird's plumage has good colour, detail and sharpness. The pose is wonderful. Great piece of work.
