Captured at our local wetland.

I am not sure what type of turtle this is but when I was out birding I spot it climbing up on this sunken log to sun itself.

Nikkor 200-400 f/4 VR Zoom with 1.7X Teleconverter.

I go to this park on a regular basis to photograph the turtles, birds and water fowl.
I believe I looked this turtle up and found that it is called a Colorado Painted Turtle.
The bottom of the shell is the painted part.
You have excellent detail. Wish mine were as well focused.
