Cockatoo

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua galerita) is a large white parrot measuring 45cm – 50cm. This bird has a distinctive yellow (sulphur) crest with a powerful beak. The bird has a distinctive screech, in fact most mornings I am woken by dozens of these birds flying over my house. This Cockatoo has a very inquisitive nature, to the point of being destructive; they have been known to destroy weatherboard homes. In my case I have had cabling damaged around the home.
The Sulphur-crested Cockatoo is distributed widely across Australia |

Lovely portrait ! The exposure is spot on, giving excellent detail to those very white feathers. Good DOF... interesting POV creating a beautiful blue backdrop. Lovely catchlight in the eye.
Well done ! TFS, Mish
