[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This beautiful Water Dragon was happily sunbaking. I was on holidays with my family in Northern New South Wales and the lizards were plentiful. They were also breeding as we saw several minature ones as well. I was surprised to see the lizards really do love the water and they submerge themselves with just their eyes or heads sticking out. In the middle of the day they could always be found sunbaking near the water. They also loved to sit on logs and branches of trees that were hanging over the water.
This big fellow was quite happy for me to get really close to him and I'm sure he was posing for this shot.

I do so like this guy, he does seem to be posing. Very nice details in the photo, I like the surroundings and the crop, I would like to see him all the way to the tip of his tail though. Nice color and lighting. Well done. Thank you for sharing this unusual creature.

Wondeful pose! :) You captured him very well. Details are very good and so is the DOF. POV would have been better if lower and it's too bad that you cut off the tip of his tail. TFS!
