| In the Thermal Wonderland "Wai O Tapu" in Rotorua you can find this pool. This hydrothermal eruption crater lake combines acidsulphate water, and outflow from the Champagne Pool. Suspended sulphur is responsible for the pool colour which varies between yellow and green depending on the cloud cover and amount of reflected light. The watertemperature is 23°C with a pH of 3.9 |

Hi Bob,
it's an interesting write up. Warm as it may be, I'm not sure I'd want a dip though. The sulphur must make it pong a bit.

I've only visited here once - I must go again some time.
What a colourful lake this is Bob. And the tea-tree / Manuka shows up well growing around the pool.
Well done
Janice
