Egyptian grasshopper:
Anacridium aegyptium (great Egyptian Mediterranean lobster) is an abundant acrídido in shrubs and trees; they are true grasshoppers, of short and robust antennas, ovopositor small, winged and capable of flying and vegetarian. They put his eggs under the surface of the soil and cover them with a frothy substance that it hardens forming a protective wrapper or pod. The sound production, which is not so high as the crickets, involves the previous legs with the dientecillos or prolongations estridulantes in his internal surface.
On my finger, 1/25 handheld. |
