[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
it's an amphibian animal from the salamandridae (salamandras) family.
the length as gauged in israel is 32sm and the weight is 160g.
the black - yellow/orange colours is apparently a warning colour. it has hot poisson (salamandrin) on his glands and when he feeling threatened he spent it out from the glands, because of that he almost don't have predators, the only animal who known as a predator of the salamander is the Tessellated Watersnake.
the salamander is most active in the winter, the evening and the night, in rainy days he is active all the day.
the salamanders of israel is under danger of extinction.

It would be a real shame if this beautiful creature became extinct.
Do these live in caves?I presume they are freshwater creatures?
A very nice photo. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Hi Uncle, very interesting notes to go with this unusual Salamander. A pity it is endangered. Good POV and details. Well done.

Beautiful specimen Rei, it would be a sin to let this colourful creature become extinct. Nice portrait with very nice colours, I feel the eye is a weeny bit soft in focus. Very well done.
