This is my first attempt to shoot flower by dslr,i love the colour of flower,this is mid day shot & sunlight was harsh,also hand held shot.

I had never seen a poplar in this color, and it's so beautiful!!

Beautiful composition and lovely colors. It looks like a poppy? If it is, I've never seen one that color before. You asked for suggestions... I would have worked on the contrast/brightness levels a little. I did a workshop, using Paint Shop Pro Photo XI I used the 'clarify' tool at setting 1.0 and then unsharp mask at settings which remove 'hazy' effect with only minimal actual sharpening.

the flower is really beautiful!!!!i m wondering if a cropping just around the flower wouldn t have been favorable?seems that the flower is really sharp.but the BG here is nice too!
i like it.somehow special,not usual.
