Good Morning! :)

I thought I would post another of this Juvenile Little Blue, he was such a delight to watch. I shot these pics on my knees, in a man made marshy area. Well worth getting wet for! Hope you have or have had :) a wonderful day.

Some Interesting Facts on Juvenile LB's: (Thanks to Marcia Davis :)

Juvenile males and females are white for nearly two years before they molt into the solid, dark-blue adult plumage.

Observations by ornithologists suggest that white plumage may offer several advantages to young, inexperienced little blues. Two possibilities are protection from predators and increased success in capturing food.

Also, the juveniles benefit when they integrate themselves into the mixed-species feeding flocks of other white wading birds such as snowy egrets and white ibises.

I really like the composition on this shot. Nice shadowless soft light. Colors and detail look superb. He looks great in the surrounding grasses. We are starting to see alot more Little Blues up this way. Several at our local nature center right now.

Another well focused shot of a beautiful bird.The eye contact is excellent,by this point it would have flown away on me.Very good POV .The focus and details are sharp.The lighting and colours are great.TFS
