This is probably my favorite snag so far (as I'm always finding more in the area) since it's still standing and has most of it's branches. These alpine trees grow under the harshest of conditions with them receiving the brunt of the Pacific coastal storms that pound the Cascade Mtns most of the year. I've tried counting growth rings on these trees, but they grow so slowly that their rings are very difficult to count since they are so close together. This tree was hundreds of years old before age or some other fate caused it to die.
Coquihalla Mtn is in the background to the right. We're spending 4 nights in that area at the end of July.

Composition intéressante, presque extra-terrestre, le jeu des couleurs est très bien, peut-être un peu trop accentué sur mon écran.
