Quelle magnifique photo avec l'aile toute ouverte, tu as vraiment l'oeil, le reflexe, toutce qu'il faut pour nous montrer les oiseux à leur plus. Le focus, la netteté, tout est parfait

I like this pose very much, Michel.
A rather unusual and interesting perspective, Michel.
You get the double bonus of getting a good view of his head as well as his tail (with all the feathers fanned out, no less).
The light and the focus are good.
If anything, I would say that the subject seems to be very centered.
Maybe cropping off some of the space to the right would make the sparrow look into space more.

He reminds me of a bull fighter with its cap. Lovely picture, great POV, and composition.. He is set in a wonderful BG that is not distracting...Well Done

Really nice photo of the sparrow preening. We encounter it all the time but it is done in short quick bursts and we don't get a chance to actually see what the birds are doing. Well done. Very nice POV, DOF works well to isolate the subject and the colors and detail are excellent. Good catchlight in the eye as well.

Excellent shapness, and composition.

You have captured this Song Sparrow during a preening session and what I think is especially interesting is that in this sharp capture you can see the preening gland on the tail. This is where it gets the oily substance that keeps the feathers fresh.

I have never seen a sparrow pose like this with the fanned out tail. Wonderful catch! Nice colors, details, and he shows off well against the background.

Finally I found "someone" who looks like well-known sparrow, now sitting on the ground in may small garden. I envy you that in Canada there are so many beautiful birds and you can "catch" them with your 400 mm "cannon"!
