These are small or medium-sized swallows, ranging from 11-17 cm in length. They are brown above and mainly white below, and all have a dark breast band.

These species are closely associated with water. They nest in tunnels usually excavated by the birds themselves in a natural sand bank or earth mound. They lay white eggs, which are incubated by both parents, in a nest of straw, grass and feathers in a chamber at the end of the burrow. Some species breed colonially.

Hi Marcin. A fine shot of the swallow. you have captured a nice pose. very good detail and colours. good light in the eyes. a nice POV and DOF. very well done TFs. good notes too.

Very nice bird image Marcin.
Sharpness and exposure are very good and the catchlight in the eye of the swallow is lovely.
I also like the soft background very much, but composition would be better with a crop ( 1/3 of the total width of the image) of the right side.
The bird is looking at the left side and needs the space wich is there, but the empty space on the right side does not add anything to the image.
Very nice image anyway.

I am impressed that you could capture an image of a Swallow, well done. They are usually so flitty. The quality of your image is wonderful, such great detail. The OOF background looks super too. An impressive shot.

I like the tones of the background with this bird. Nice catchlight on the eyes. Good overall composition.
