Today is commemorated the independence day of Argentina (1816) and I publish this photo because it is a very pretty flower, very Argentine and because it has part of the colors of the flag. It was taken 9 months ago, in springtime (today long ago cold, it is snowing in Buenos Aires!) Grows in my garden, but iit is wild, is NOT cultivated.
I hope you like it. A greeting to all TN!
Scientific name: Caerulea Passiflora. L.
Other popular names: Pasiflora, flower of the passion, murucuyá, maracuyá 8guaraní), etc.

In Argentina, "pasiflora" more important it is caerulea P., it plants on which important works of investigation in relation to their active components and to their qualities with sedative have been made. Also the market is supplied here of the harvesting of spontaneous units, to such point that its abundance has declined years in the last. As far as grounds, the nonargillaceous ones are preferable or clay them sandy, with pH neutral to acid and slightly rich in organic matter. The flowers, that appear in spring, are hermafroditas and solitary. The abundance of the flowering, and the biomass, is employee of the amount of light that receives the plant, reason to locate the culture in places nonshaded.

Hi Hernan
It's not fair that this beautiful flower grows wild in your area. I have to purchase from a greenhouse where I live. You've captured the sharp detail and colour here. Excellent note.
Congratulations on your Independence Day!
