Hello Kathleen,
Good details in the mushroom!
I like the composition with the fine diagonal, and the colour will of course make this specimen stand out anywhere...
Well done on close-up work!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Kathleen,

A different kind (colored) fungi, well presented and captured despite its relative small size, the dof and pov are good, good use of tripod as it was a quite long exposure time, tfs

Hello Kathleen,
Very interesting fungus you've captured here. Amazing bright colour and sharp details. It doesn't look too good to eat! I like the wet-looking natural environment.
TFS and regards, Ulla

Hi Kathleen,
fascinating looking fungi, well exposed with great DOF and focus, the background is just as nice as the subject matter. I'm curious, do you know if there's any reason for them having such vivid colours?
tfs
Paul

good shot !
excellent ligth & details in the mushroom! Regards .Carme

Hi Kathleen,
A beautifully colored fungus.Very good capture and composition with beautiful natural colors. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Excellent contrast between the violet fungi and green moss; makes for a striking composition.
Nice long exposure too.
Good sharpness and POV

Chris

Beautiful shot. Composition, DOF, Focus, and POV are perfect. This fungi's color makes it look very unappetizing...Like some kind of natural defense from foragers. If in nature red means dangerous, then maybe purple just means Yucky! :)

Hi Kathy,
Great shot of this Thaxterogaster.
They're not easy to focus on due to the colour, but look good when you get them right.
I love the colour and detail in this shot.
Well done.
