Grows upto 50cm tall.Sepals always green,petals large and broad.Altitude upto 1100m.
Flowers from end of March to May
Grows in full sun to mid-shade on alkaline substrates,mostly calcareous short poor grassland,meadows,banks and terraces.

Hello Anita,
I've missed your lovely capture of this Ophrys from Sicily. The flowers are very sharp and the colours beautiful. Also I like the soft background. It's also nice with a blend of vertical and diagonal lines.
