This mantis really seems to be an alien.
It's like a sci-fi movie character.
I like the close approach and the pale background, it really focus the attention on the insect.

Hello Herve,
Very nice shot of this strange looking insect. Has the same pose as the Mantis and does look a bit like it, but with some strange kind of helmet on the head.
Pity aperture of 6.3 was not enough to get whole of the big front legs in sharp focus.
Sharpness and exposure are good and most of the background nice and soft.
Just the out of focus grass on the right side is a bit distracting and does lead the eye of the main subject.
Very nice image anyway.

Qué pasó ? Verdaderamente una sorpresa ver un insecto en tu galeria jeje En principio me parecía una planta. Buenos detalles aunque es una toma crítica por su gran ampliación que has resuelto casi perfectamente. Como en muchas de tus fotos, me gusta también la naturalidad de los colores. Yo la titularía : " el obispo"
( l'Évêque ). Saludos Hervé.

c'est un des insects que je rêve de photographier, sa forme et son allure sortent tout droit de la science fiction. Bonne position et intéressant graphisme sans toutefois avoir tous les détails et le contraste maximum.
