This incredible beautiful Brown Pelican landed in front of me when I was taking pictures of sea otters.
She stayed just long enough for me to get one single shot, then she took off again.
It was as if the bird wanted her picture taken, and no wonder - this bird is very beautiful!
I tried to read up on the Net about the colors this bird displays, and from what I can understand, this is a bird that is nesting. The neck is brown and the feathers above the face are white. I guess that is a way of making the bird less visible.
The feathers on the wings and the back are silvery and brown/dark brown.
There are no fake colors in this photograph, I only did the normal enhancements in Photoshop from the RAW image.
I just found this bird so awesome!
