Hello Peter,
A beautiful animal is well captured!
As it is an unusual large number has died since the count the summer of 2006 when they found 213 animals all together, death estimates are as high as 75 animals last winter...
And people has been seriously injured even killed while trying to photograph them...
This is an impressive image with great details and fine natural colours!
Greetings,

Hi Peter,
A really wonderful photo of a very beautiful animal. I do hope to see this animal for myself, but will as Pablo mentioned keep my distance.
Your low POV and DOF are wonderful, The details and exposure are spot on. I really like the pose you managed to capture where it is clearly to see it was on the move.

Niek

Hi Peter,
Impressive looking creaure you've caught here, nice mid-step pose and a very well seen composition. The rock gives the small strip of FG some depth.

Hi Peter
Great Natural Document.
Exposure, compo, colours and sharpness all perfect. Great POV.
Supposing your the sensor of your camera is clean, there must be a lot of flies around these animals!

Hi Peter,
It must be great to see animals like this in the wild. We get excited over a Fox.
Plenty of definition, good sharpness and lighting.
Niggle:- Either it has just shaken itself, or it is surrounded by midges or you have dust/dirt on your lens or processor judging by the dots on the picture. You tell me!

Peter

Other than a few patches of winter coat this fellow looks neatly combed and groomed. I've been to Alaska several times but never got an opportunity to see one of these. It is distressing to hear that there numbers are declining. I like the placement of the subject in you photo and having the sky as the background really shows off the subject well.

Hej Peter,
I'm most impressed - I wonder how close you were? I don't think many get a chance to see these amazing animals at all! Great shot, very sharp focus, nice light and natural colours. Fine composition too.
Many thanks and cheers, Ulla

Hello Peter,
Great low POV with the Musk Ox against the cloudy sky. Sharpness and natural colours are great. I also thought that there was dust on your lens, but you explained it. Good DOF and composition.

Peter

I like the POV, skylining the animal that way. Makes a more dramatic composition.
