[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi everyone, I've been away for quite some time, but now Im back to share some pics.
I took this image at Sydney's Taronga Zoo, the pic was shot through a glass wall covered with grubby finger prints, I just put the lens up against the glass and hoped for the best, but hey, it still came out ok. The Lion was less than 4 metres away from where I was standing and he was just comfortably posing for everyone, he looks so content, maybe he had just finished lunch. I have only adjusted the levels, sharpened a tad, and minor cloning to remove some blown out highlights.

Such a regal shot .. I like it because it is not a normal "ZOO" shot .. there is no fenceing or man made rock in the background .. (The Cleveland ZOO is nice but the big cats have that fake rock or wood fence all around)

Hello Steve,
Very nice portrait of the Lion.I love the composition/framing,the details, sharpnes and great colours are excellent.Great work.

Hi Steve,
Magnificent portrait of this lion!
You managed pretty well to move upwards the camera to shoot this picture.
The lighting its very good, its fur really looks great, and certainly the lion's face reflects a good mood.
Congratulations and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

Hi Steve. A beautiful close up of this magnificent looking lion. You did well to get it through the glass as you describe. Good work. Murray.
