Hello Jane I just love the expression you got here the road runner from the cartoon :-) I might have cropped slightly from the right. Good dof, harsh light handled quite well lovely shot overall, made me laugh I do miss the old cartoons. TFS rgds Necip.

The first sense I get is the effect of the wind rustling his feathers and top knot and tail. The second thing is his stark expression. Not some slow-witted thing here, but a character who could vanish in a flash. Well done.

Wow Jane, what a fab character shot of this amazing bird. I love the open beak as if he is speaking to you and pointing at the coyote! It is so sharp with great detail on plumage, great light and colour with perfect dof. I love it.

I like this front on view of the Roadrunner. A more unique pose than the usual profile scenes. Very nice sharp detail and a well contoled DOF. Soft light,and accurate colors from the spot on exposure. Now where is Wiley Coyote????

Hi Jane, I know you posted this a while ago but it is real, he is a ROADRUNNER! I was looking at a picture from Nevada a few minutes ago and wondered if the roadrunner came from Nevada. No, it's in Arizona!

I know that everybody on Trek Nature posting a new photo would prefer to have the newest to be awarded with a smiley, but I could not resist this "Greater Roadrunner” photo of yours. What an amusing and cute photo to look at. This really made me giggle with enjoyment. It looks as if this roadrunner is hitch-hiking, tail feathers in the air to get somebody's or should I say some fellow bird’s attention. I just like the wide awake eyes. It has such a humorous grin on its face, one cannot help to yet say "How cute”. Thanks for thanks for sharing, as well as the interesting note.
