« Redwings song is a liquid,
gurgling konk-la-reee ending in a trill. »
from my « Field Guide to the Birds
of North-America » book, page 420,
National Geographic Society

to listen the red-winge blackbird's song, go to this link :
http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/audio/Red-winged_Blackbird.html

now if we came to my photo, we see that it is dark,
the reason is that the aperture is at F8 and the ISO100

me who is always at F4.9
i wonder why that time i was at F8,
the photo was taken in end of april and that time
i was in ISO100, it is in may that i start to go with ISO400

the reason is i don't have image stabilizer and with
ISO400 and (often) at F4.9 i let pass more light
to not have blur images

and in this photo i am not in RAW,
i am in JPEG because i doubled my zoom

Salut Asbed,
Claudine

Very nice shot of the blackbird singing. Lovely POV. Good detail but a bit dark.. but in saying that... dark birds in that lighting are a difficult subject and I don't mind in this instance as the action is so nice... and you can clearly see the field identifiers. Nice catch light in the eye, too.

Well done, TFS, Mish

Bon Asbed.

Mario

It may be dark, but the orange wind detail showed up nice.
Sometimes this can be a difficult bird to capture, as they are very unpredictable.

Hi Asbed

Bravo,

Claude
