[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have been very busy the past week or so; hopefully I will have a reason to announce why soon. This is an older shot of mine. I was lucky enough to catch this little white egret while he caught dinner. This is one of about six frame of the sequence. The bird is wild, the fish is a koi he took from the lotus pond at the Taipei Botanical Gardens.

I know that although they look to me to only be overfed goldfish, koi are actually quite expensive to purchase at a pet store. I am sure this guy's lunch was much more costly than what I would typically indulge.

Uncropped, normal post processing, tripod mounted, 70-200mm with a 2X teleconverter (aperture = f/10), ISO 200.

Nice catch, both of you. I have a Grey heron that uses my roof as a perch, checking out my neighbours garden. I have caught him with a koi in the bill, which he promptly dropped when I pointed Bog Bertha at him. Two small things, crop the top to loose the wall, then it becomes 100% authnetic, and fill flash for you know, the eye!

Darren, A beautiful shot of this expensive dinner. SOmeone must beunhappy about it. I would sugest a tighter crop as the animal doesn't standout enough.
Very nice shot.
Greetings, Jan

Darren-This is a very good shot of this egret. We have a lot of egrets and herons here where I live. Check out my post today of the Great Blue Heron that I was able to get. Congratulations on a great photo. Greetings from Alabama, USA

Oportuna captura Darren.
Buena definicion, colores suaves, excepto el blanco que siempre complica este tipo de escenas cuando el sol incide sobre el animal.
Buen encuadre y perspectiva tambien.

Opportune capture Darren.
Good definition, smooth colors, except the target that always complicate this type of scenes when the sun affects the animal.
Good frame and perspective also.
