When I took pictures of brown hawk owl, the earthquake that 11 people were died occurred in Niigata area of Japan. Niigata is about 200km away from the place, so the shaking was not so strong. But the owl might be surprised, then he opened his eyes widely and began to stretch his muscle, even though he doesn't move a muscle during daytime. This picture was taken at the moment.
Thank you for viewing. |

Hi Toshi,
wow amazing timing and what a great pose you've caught him in with his wings folded up like that, the look of alarm on his face is brilliant!
Very nice back lighting and good natural colour with sharp focus.
tfs and have a good weeekend

Hello Toshi,
This is an absolutely stunning and very unusual shot of this wonderful owl. The composition, exposure and focus are all top notch and the opportunity mavellously well taken. Thanks very much.

Hi Toshi
Great moment captured stretching the wings and tail feathers out. Great capture on the eyes, the high-light in the tree directly behind is a little distracting but you have captured the owl with great detail. Wonderful

Extraordinary image, Toshi.
Good moment and 'what' a moment...
Nice light!
Well done!

Hi Toshi,
Very impressive shot! Amazing expression of the bird. And a great example about the ability of animals to feel the danger. Very well done!
