[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today the spring arrived to Gothenburg. So I went out to test my brand new macro lens (Tamron 90mm). In a small patch of dark green and brown moss I found this tiny, lone, white flower. The bud was only about 1-2mm so I had to make good use of my macro :-). I have no idea what kind of flower it is as I am lousy at identifying plants (considering its size I could hardly see it anyway). Anyone know what it is?

All together, this image works well for me, even if IMO, the bud is too isolated in the composition. Very good use of your macro lens, creating a real sharp light spot in the blured dark. Beautiful impressionist background. Bud looks a bit overexposed, rubbing out the delicate tiny petal edges.

j'aime beaucoup cette présentation très originale. Le Bg offre un festival de couleur.

Félicitations !

Mnie siê podoba ¶wietne zdjêcie, Masz bardzo dobry warsztat.

Now, this is what I would call a great artistic macro. I love the depth of field, putting all the emphasis on this beautiful tiny flower. It certainly stands out. I don't know the name of this flower, and I don't think I've ever seen one before on a patch of moss. Nina Ludwig is an expert at mosses, so hopefully she will see this photo, and perhaps know the name. Excellent work.

A very nice composition.
Very efficient DOF, the subject is really emphasized.
Good job, TFS.
