Sorry about the attempt at humour with the title, but I couldn't resist. This is a grizzly at fish creek feeding on the chum salmon run. Viewing grizzlies at fish creek is always great there is always something going on either with the bears, or eagles, great blue herons, mink and of course lots of gull. Everyone fattening up for winter with the bounty of the salmon run.

Hi Rick,

The bear has a nice catch in his mouth! And you caught a wonderful shot. Never can tell what you will come up with. I love the bear's coat - and his tongue. A great nature shot.

Nice capture in the wild here, Rick. At first I thought this was a zoo shot, but this is the real thing! Congrats on bringing this baby home!

Hi Rick,
heck of an action shot you have in this capture and one I wished I had the opportunity to get myself. That bear sure has an excellent diet and I too just love the taste of salmon. The only thing that could be better but you had no control over are those pesky leaves that got in the way of a perfectly clear shot but then nature doesn't tailor itself to our wants nor would I expect her too. Wonderful photo Rick and thanks for putting it up. Bob

Hi Rick

What a terrific capture...and i actually like the humorus title :)
I'm sure it's difficult even to see such a bear with a prey in his mouth, much rather to photograph one and since you've caught one so close and so clear...CONGRATS!
The details are great and, considerring the conditions, the colors and POV are excellent, too.

Bravo and TFS

Hi Rick,
that's one helluva fish! Great catch for him, and for you. Like the detail in his wet fur and your POV. The leaves in the FG add to the sense of this being a very natural shot.

Hi Rick.
Excellently composed wonderful action shot. Pictured scene is simply great, expressive, well timed and reflected. I like very nice colours and details of the image, perfectly selected levels of contrast and saturation. My compliments and TFS.

Hello Rick,
This is again a typical wild life shot! Those guys LOVE salmons so much! This is a great capture, a scenery that I would love to see someday, I would be so impressed... Well done on a great action shot! Thanks,
Claudine

Hi Rick,
What a very beautiful moment you captured here. Not only the fact that you captured him getting his breakfast, but also the fact that you got this close. He did capture a very beautiful salmon. Love the details in the bear and fish and the obscuring OOF leaves in the FG.
TFS,
Niek

Hello Rick,
how perfectly displayed. One could argue about the branch in the forground but i think it adds to the field taken ambiance of the picture.
Regards, Jacob

Impressionnant, grandiose, quelles prise d'une grande netteté.
