[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On a previous post, I showed a Bull Elk with a harem of 12. A few minutes later (20) and a little further up the road I ran across this poor guy -- he seemed to have just one wife (not in the shot)! Poor guy -- with just one anniversary to forget, he's got no excuses. Maybe someday he can bulk up, improve his ninja skills, and aquire a reasonable sized harem.

Of course I would have opted for light on him and a darker bg. But that's life. I was glad to be so close to such a beauty in the wild.

Hi Mike,

A good POV of Mr. ELk, the photo has a good composition, sharpness and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.

Pierre

Hi Mike,
I first though that Mr. lonely was lonely because of he was missing a leg. But after carefull inspection I noticed the front left leg. Maybe this guy believes in monogamy and is not a citizen of Salt Lake city. Still he does look a little sad. Different light might have made a better photo, but that close capture makes up for a lot.
TFS,
Niek
