Kookaburras are best known for their unmistakable call, which is uncannily like loud, echoing human laughter — good-natured, if rather hysterical, merriment in the case of the well-known Laughing Kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae

I was quite pleased by how this shot turned out, given it was handheld at 176mm in poor light. Shot wide open w/iso bumped up to 800
