Hello everybody, today I offer yet another shot of birds behaving badly, this time a pair of Mallard males.I watched this fight break out right from the start and for the life of me I really don't know just what got into these two fellows. One moment they are swimming along side by side peacefully and the next they are beating up on one another. The result was nothing really all that bad just some splashes and ruffled feathers, but they did look like they were trying to hurt each other. In the background is a disinterested female Wigeon. Both photos were cropped, resized and lighten up a wee bit using Paint.Net.I now have my work cut out for me and really need to review your photos and do some replies as well so this upload will have to be it until Sunday,I'm not lazy it's just time is tight. Bob

This is hilarious! Once again your tight composition really helps this capture stand out (even in a Firewater Fog :D)

Great action shot Bob. I do love watching them splashing whilst fighting. Nice pov with great light and colour on both the water and Ducks. Nice sharp detail on the water.

Hello Bob

An excellent capture of these two greenheads ,duking it out.Very good timing, the action is well captured. The colours are deep and well saturated.Nicely done.TFS

Ils barbottent bien mais que se disent-ils, ils se disputent la belle qui s'en va plus loin ? Très belle scène bien réussi.

Hahaha ! It's war in the pond ! Well seen and well done ! And the Wigeon female who does not like violence ! :-) Great shot, thanks.

Hi Bob,

Nice action shot and the green heads of Mallards really stand out - it's nice to see they have their distinctive plumage back after moulting through late Summer. Good detail and colours and a very effective crop.

Kind regards,

Mike
