[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This City-Boy is situated on the piece of broken red brick at 07h 10min morning, waiting for the warm sunlight. Like "natural hooligan" he have no tail (probably lost in street fight)!

Scarce Swallowtail (Iphiclides podalirius)

1. The male swallow tail has yellowish wings.
2. The largest swallow tail is the Japanese giant swallow tail.
3. The spice bush adult uses odor to protect itself.
4. As a larva, the spice bush will mimic a snake.
5. As a larva, the tiger swallow tail eats wild cherry leaves.
6. The cotton wood larva eats tulip poplars.
7. The tiger Swallowtail caterpillar is dark green with two yellow eye spots.

Good shot Sochirca. Crisp, clear and with excellent sharpness. The red brick gives an awesome contrast. Good work. TFS

I like City-Boy a lot Sochirca, but I hope that he did not rob you. The composition, color and sharpnes are all excellent.

Very well done and thanks for posting

Haha , good note and image !

Nice pic, Sochirca.
I like the brick colour, and the butterfly is very well taken into DOF, you were at a right distance to take advantage of the difficult F:3.2. I would have cropped a bit on tha left, and give some more space at the bottom.
Thanks for this image.

Nice photo but the identification is wrong ;-)
It's not P.machaon but Iphiclides podalirius.
