This little egret I saw on a mudflat of Sungei Buloh.
This place is a paradise for nature lovers. Painted Stork, otters, mudskippers, monitors, and different species of lizards as well as wader birds are abundant here. The mudflats are especially species rich and it is amazing that this is only a couple of kilometers away from the metropolis of Singapur.
Amazing is for me how exposed the many seashells and snails are on the mudflats for foreaging birds. This little egret I photographed from the shelter of a observation point. |
