Beautiful shot of this Junco - another bird I have never seen. The pose is wonderful. He has a beautiful face and you have detailed him very well. The plummage is lovely with wonderful colors and shadings.

Hello Michel

This is a lovely image of this junco.The bird is bathed in a warm light.
The colours are rich and well saturated.
The composition is very good ,the bird is well placed in the frame,and I like the diagonal effect of the branch.
The plumage detail is excellent and you have captured wonderful eye detail and catch light.

Beautiful capture of this small cuty bird species! You kept in professional way both sharpness and DOF! Bravo also for colouration (nice, delicate tones of BG!) and general composition. It is really nice picture for watching!
On the other hand it is a pitty that there is no Latin name of this bird (as you know it is the international language in zoology and botany :>).

Hi Michel

You took that small chance you had and turned it into a very beautiful photo! Congratualtions for your quick reaction!
The result is indeed a great shot with super sharp details and a great pose.
The BG is of course much better than in pictures taken with birds on the ground and it isolates the junco well, bringing it up even better.
Nice composition and very good exposure parameters, too.

et j'ai eu la chance d'en voir un perché
mais comme c'était en contre-jour
je n'ai pas pu mettre en focus comme je le désirais
