Late evening in one of the hides near the russian border.

We where waiting at a carcasus for bear, wolverine or wolf.

This night we had the luck to see this beauty. The light was low and it looked like a shadow when it came toward us.

We had it at close range for about 12 minutes before it took of into the forest.

The pic is taken at 1600ASA which affekts the pic.

Hi Orjan,
not only a great mood and ambience in this shot, but a real life Wolverine too! The slight noise doesn't bother me because you've captured an amazing wild creature here that i can only ever dream of seeing with my own eyes. Mistakenly i thought these were only dound in North America. What a great experience it must have been to see this in it's natural environment, thanks you so much for sharing this.

Hello Orjan,
only one time I had the experience to see a 'wild' wolverine. I still consider this as one of the highlights in spotting wildlife.
This picture is excactly the ambiance I saw this species. This is really great.

Very moody and beautiful. I don't mind the grain. It adds a nice softness to the image. With the blue cast it's almost mysterious. Emphasising the elusiveness of these beautiful animals. Well captured.

Well there is a first. I bet this is the only wild wolverine to be posted on TN. I've never seen one in the wild. Lucky you!
I'm jealous. Did it have a strong odor like I've heard they do? It's great you were able to get a photo of it.

Must have been a great experience to see this animal in real wild. I have seen them at the zoo in Finland (Rauma)
I hope you saw other animals too.
