Hi Pat. He looks a well feed kingfisher . you have capture a fine pose with good detail and rich colours.a nice POV/DOF. i have as yet to get a good picture of a kingfisher. well done TFS.

What a chubby little fellow you have captured here! He stands out well even though the b/g is relatively busy! Lovely colours!
I agree with you that this is not quite your best but I have tried to capture one of these at my friends garden without any success at all! In this respect, you have done very well!

c'est vrai que la qualité est perfectible mais les couleurs sont vraiment fideles et c'est vrai que pour trentre metres le resultat est même plus que bon.celui que j'ai publié n'etait qu'a environ 8 metres et il n'est pas mieux.

Les oiseaux sont très difficile à prendre en photo, et même si, comme tu dis, une légère netteté apparait, ta prise reste très belle, avec de belles couleurs, et surtout un bon souvenir.

Tu es trop critique envers toi même... je trouve ta prise unique superbe. Et c'est vrai que capturer un martin pêcheur n'est pas chose évidente. J'ai un petit étang ou quelques fois des martins viennent me faire une visite mais jusqu'à présent je n'ai pas encore eu le temps d'attraper mon appareil pour immortaliser l'instant. Chapeau... Rudy

Superb colours, pose, POV and composition and the slight softness is rather pleasing in this image of a Kingfisher.
I have not yet succeeeded in capturing the Kingfisher.

A beautiful shot of this chubby bird. The pose is fantastic. Colors are gorgeous - the orange, blue and white are perfect. Superb details - face and wings are marvelous. I love the background. Excellent posting.

mais à travers les photos de TN j'ai vu que chaque oiseau
ou animal sauvage porté les mêmes couleurs que son
habitat naturel ou environnement, et bien avec ta photo

Hallo Pat
Going through the web pages on Trek Nature is a new adventure every time, and I can understand why it is so difficult to get away from the PC. There are just so many talented photographers on the site and they all have such spectacular portfolios. I came across this lovely "for Martic (Kingfisher)" in your gallery, and although it is not one of your most recent postings decided to give my smiley to this photo, since my first posting is also was of a kingfisher. This is such an elegant, vivid and dignified looking bird, and what I see in size wise it is quite small. I just love the bright blue and orange colours its plumage and the lighter blue on its wings. I enjoyed looking at it. Thanks for sharing.
