Nice view - catching it on the branch makes for a very natural shot. Initially I thought it was a hairy woodwpecker - but we had one recently, and they really are noticeably bigger, so I think you've identified a female Downey correctly.

Ah Michel it may be difficult but what you mean is that you wish it were a bit better...but it need not be..It is perfect as it is...You have captured the feelings of the bird in this moment of image. très belle photo avec un cadrage vertical approprié,
un superbe focus pour obtenir d'aussi excellent détails,
à mes yeux à moi, seul reporche que je ferais,
je trouve le cadrage un peu trop sérré,
j'airais préféré voir un peu plus d'espace devant l'oiseau

The focus is spot on with excellent sharpness.

Well done on capturing such a great image, and focussing on the spot and waiting certainly paid off. The level of detail is quite stunning. I'm hoping to get some small bird shots over the winter, so I may be back for some tips.
