[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi everybody.
Finally I have time to upload the picture :)

Collecting mushrooms is very popular activity in Poland. So, during late summer and in autumn the forests are full of people (sometimes there is more people in the forests then mushrooms).
There are even the examples from the literature that show our groove to picking up mushrooms. I want to present you two of them.
1. In polish epopee by Adam Mickiewicz - "Pan Tadeusz" ("Master Thaddeus, or the Last Foray in Lithuania: a History of the Nobility in the Years 1811 and 1812 in Twelve Books of Verse") there is a part relating picking up mushrooms by the heros.
2. There is also the poem for children telling story about the mushrooms in the forest entitled "Mushrooms". It is written by Jan Brzechwa and I will try to translate the beginnig of this poem (this is free translation naturally):
The king "Boletus" was wandering in the forest, knocking his one heel,
And from anger was completely brown,
as the flies were biting him...."
Futher, different species of mushrooms are called to help the boletus in fighting with flies.

I think that it is enough for the introduction. Now time to something more serious. In the picture you can see boletus (Boletus edulis), very tasty mushroom that grows in decidous and coniferous forests. It likes the presence of oak trees. Its cup is brown, and hymenophore white (in older exemplars it became light green). The shank is light brown with white net.
In the workshop I'm presenting you the collage of this species and other (Tylopilus felleus), very similar one that is not tasty as it is bitter, so welcome in my workshop.

Nice pic
This one doesn't look much as a king though. Half eaten and fighting its way through the dead branches.
Brilliant pic though. Beautiful colors.

Piekny egzemplarz nie ma co :-) Bardzo mi sie podoba kompozycja z rewelacyjnym swiatlem, kolorami i zielona galazka oplatajaca delikwenta. Atmosfera super! No i dzieki za przypomnienie Brzechwy!!! Nie slyszalem tego od wielu lat.
