this is just a wonderful way to take a butterfly picture. The light perches through the wings a reveals the wings. Besides the nice composition, the colour combination works out really well! Keep on posting them nice ones!

Congratulations on this excellent milestone. May there still be many more in the years to come.

A lovely capture of this little copper, making good use of the backlight to shine through the wings and create some attractive highlights on the tip of the wings, the antennae, and on the insect's head. The well selected F/stop ensured a superb DOF thus isolating the butterfly from the OOF and evenly coloured BG.

Great shot of L. alciphron in side lighting with well managed exposure and excellent sharpness. The bokeh BG and composition on a grass seed head are very pleasing and set the butterfly off beautifully.
Let me add that I enjoy seeing your insect shots, most of all butterflies and I hope you continue to be an asset to TN with your photos and knowledge for a long time to come.
