Actually, I have been trying for a long time, as a visitor of the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo, to take a photo of this Red Panda awake. I succeed only at a full darkness of late coolish evening.
The tree is an Israeli native species, Syrian Maple (Acer obtusifolium).

what a nice shot of the cute red panda! :-) well composed with the good pose looking directly into the cam and a lovely
expression on his face - when i go and try to have a look at them here in the cologne zoo they are always far away and high up

These we guys are so difficult to photograph as they are either asleep or constantly on the move. Congrats on a wonderful shot. Perfect eye contact. Very nice work. :-)
