Hi Pankaj, this shot jumped right out at me from the Gallery. Beautiful shot with those vibrant warm organges, lovely pov on this pretty Butterfly which has a very elegant pose, graceful wings with wonderful markings. Very nice pov with a perfect soft background and dof. The black frame works well to set of those colours.

Perfect camera settings, Pankaj.
The low perspective gives sharp details on the underwings which appear opaque with the light from above.
The face of the butterfly including the eyes, the antennae and the probosis is also very sharpy delineated. It pays to use a tripod.
A well composed shot.

wonderful image that is full of colours.
Loot will love this for sure!
+++ Excellent image quality from the stunning clarity to the heaps of detail.
Vibrent, rich colours that "pop" out of the screen.
Very good DOF and a nicely blurred BG.
--- I would have positioned the butterfly in the top right corner instead of the bottom left. I think the former would be a better composition... but that is my opinion.
Nevertheless this is one very good photo!

A nice dedication and I thank him as well for helping with Augur Hawk...but your image is a fine one Pankaj. Your framing or borders perhaps more correct, are alway subtle and yet dramatic...as sort of ironic or self canceling term, but work well.

I believe that nowadays the word awesome is too much used when it comes to commenting photos. But with this photo no other word than Awesome come to mind.
The perfect sharpness, the perfect DOF, the perfect POV and the perfect clarity are all here. This is just wonderful. You should be really proud of this photo, and Loot should be really proud that it is dedicated to him.

This is a wonderfully lively composition with the frontal POV of this butterfly and additional orange flowers in the BG.
The lighting is heavenly lighting up the wing and flower with a pleasing soft quality. Fine focus details also.

Thank you very much my friend. What an honour and privilege to receive this wonderful dedication, especially from an esteemed and well appreciated photographer such as yourself. Over time you have developed into a macro master (insects and flowers) and have proven to be one of the better photographers on TrekNature. Not only have you excelled in the small critters in the world of macro photography, but you also proved to be equally handy with bigger subjects such as mammals, birds, reptiles, and even the odd landscape too. Anyone just need to page through your portfolio to confirm that I am telling the truth and your photos will continue to speak for itself.

I just love the fabulous frontal POV of this Peacock Pansy. No sneaking up on this butterfly from behind as with this shot it is clear that the insect was fully aware of you and it obviously gave you the blessing to capture this shot. The lighting (exposure) control was brilliant, making full use of the fill-in flash. At the same time the backlight came on to the upper wings thus creating lovely highlights around the edges while also penetrating the wings to show its wonderful colours and construction. The OOF and well removed BG is excellent showing sporadic bursts of brilliant colours, but not to the extent that it pulls the eye to steer away from the main subject. The small aperture ensured a wonderful range in the DOF and made certain to capture very sharp details of the attractive features of this butterfly.

A beautiful dedication to Mr. Loot. I have a set up on our roof top also with marigolds, lantanas etc. but I don't see any butterfly passing by is attracted to it. A masterful tribute, Pankaj! Those razor-crisp wings with rich color and detail -- and almost ethereally slender -- are shown off to perfection. The POV is spot on, your DOF is par excellence, and the positioning on the flower is adroit as well. Not much more to be said for something so obviously superb.
