Yellowjacket and Camelia
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This was taken on a driving trip to Washington, D.C., last October, but is from the first morning of the trip, so we were just barely out of Texas, into Louisiana. We had been driving for two hours, and had a couple of cups of coffee sloshing around inside us, so we stopped at the first rest area in Louisiana (about 150 miles away from our house in Houston) for a restroom break.
Before we left, I noticed this camelia bush in full bloom, teeming with yellowjackets, so I took a few shots.
Very little post-processing. The image was cropped, the levels were adjusted in Photoshop, then it was sharpened, resized, saved and uploaded. |

Hello Michael
Good shot. Maybe a wee bit soft on focus, but the subject is great. Nice view of the bright steman. Well done. Thanks
